National men’s 100-metres champion, Kishane Thompson, was the only Jamaican winner at the Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, today.
Thompson won the 100-metres in 9.91 seconds.
His compatriots Rohan Watson was fourth in 10.15 seconds and Micheal Campbell seventh in 10.28 seconds.
Letsile Tebogo was second in a season best 9.99 seconds and Akani Simbini third 10.11 seconds.
In the women’s event, Tia Clayton was second in 11.06 seconds, Krystal Sloley third in 11.15 seconds, Natasha Morisson fourth in 11.19 seconds and Tina Clayton eighth in 11.52 seconds.
Tamara Davis won in 11.00
Sean Bailey ran a season best 44.64 seconds to finish second in the men’s 400-metres.
2019 World champion Tajay Gayle did 7.76 metres for ninth in the men’s long jump, which was won by world champion Militidas Tentenglou who leapt to 8.23 metres.
Ackelia Smith was second in the women’s long jump at 6.83 metres. Colombia’s Natalia Denares won with 6.87 metres.
Former national 200 metres champion Andrew Hudson was second in the men’s 200 metres in 20.37 seconds, as Olympic champion Andre De Grasse won in 19.98 seconds.
