Fast-rising dancehall artiste Knavi has many reasons to smile of late considering his hardwork is finally paying off. Following the release of his break-out single entitled “Meech Out“ which has become a staple on the Playlists of all major local radio stations and an essential apart of the juggling set of street selectors and sounds systems such as Boom Boom, Stone Love and many others. The deejay has also been creating a huge buzz online with several music pundits and social media influencers labeling him as the “next star” in dancehall. According to Knavi his musical progression was not an overnight process instead it was a gradual progression.
“A years of hardwork and dedication bring me to this point yuh zimmie. Right now me song dem a play day and night. It is a joy to see when yuh put in the work and a see di fans dem a embrace yuh ting. I must say respect to my team and to every selector, radio deejay, dancer, influencer and all my supporters overall” stated Knavi.
The Montego Bay native has been knocking on the door to stardom for quite some time now after releasing buzzing singles such as 12 Signs, Cha La LA , Bad Boy and Balmain Bomber all of which created an impact especially in western Jamaica. However, his current single entitled “Meech Out” is the song that has done the most damage and has already racked up an impressive 453,000 streams on YouTube in the 20 days since its release.
“Meech Out gone wid di road. Right now every car that passes me in my community a play it and everytime me guh ova tiktok me see it a run. It is quickly becoming a street anthem” stated Knavi.
Currently, Knavi is busy in studio working on a plethora of new singles as well as promoting the music video for Meech Out.
