Knight Riders Produce Record CPL Run Chase to Beat Patriots

The Trinbago Knight Riders produced a T20 record run chase at the Brian Lara Stadium on Sunday night to beat the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by seven wickets in the Caribbean Premier League, CPL.

Set 194 to win, the Knight Riders raced to 197 for 7 in 18.3 overs on the back of a superb unbeaten 93 from 43 balls by Nicholas Pooran.

Jason Roy batted well for 64 as the Knight Riders beat the previous highest successful run chase of 169 by the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Andre Fletcher has earlier produced a brilliant knock of 93 for the Patriots who posted 193 for 4. Fletcher put on 99 for the second wicket with Kyle Mayers who weighed in with 60.

With the victory, the Knight Riders wrapped up the last playoff spot.
