Public commentator Carol Narcisse believes the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC should haven taken action against People’s National Party councillor, Dennis Gordon, in light of the revelation that his company erected a building without a permit.
Gordon, the councillor for the Maxfield division, announced on December 28 that he has withdrawn from the KSAMC’s Building and Town Planning Committee and has relinquished the Chairmanship of the Finance Committee in light of the breach.
However, Ms Narcisse believes the KSAMC has not acted decisively to hold Councillor Gordon accountable.
Councillor Gordon said he made the decision to give up the positions even though his company has taken the required steps to regularize the status of the development.
However for Ms Narcisse, in a different country, Gordon would have resigned from the KSAMC.
