Delegates of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, in North West St Elizabeth, have thrown their support behind principal of Lacovia High, Andrew Morris, as the man who should represent the party at the next general election.
Councillor for the Newmarket division and mayor of Black River, Richard Solomon, provided the update to our news centre.
The selection exercise follows last week’s announcement that incumbent member of parliament, MP, JC Hutchinson, will not be seeking re-election.
The veteran MP had also recommended Morris to be his replacement.
Mayor Solomon says Andrew Morris is the right man for the job.
