Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey has been officially ruled out of Jamaica’s two Concacaf Nations League games against Cuba and Honduras.
The 27-year-old Bailey picked up an injury early in Saturday’s Premier League game against Leicester City and had to leave the field.
Coach Unai Emery said the player picked up a hamstring injury and will now be out for an unspecified time.
Bailey was called up to the squad for his first assignment since November last year due first time a suspension for breaking team curfew and then his decision to take a break from international football which he has now reversed.
Jamal Lowe who recently joined English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday has been called up to replace Bailey and he is due to arrive in the island later this evening to join up with the rest of the squad.
The full national squad is due to stage their first training session at 10 tomorrow morning at the national stadium and it will the first session under new coach Steve McLaren.
