Linford Christie ‘Never had a Desire’ to Represent Jamaica

Jamaican-born British sprinter, Linford Christie, says he never had a desire to compete for the country of his birth.

Christie, was born in the Waterhouse area before migrating to England at the age of seven.

Speaking on “The Powells” the multiple Olympic and World Championship medallist says he choose to compete for Great Britain because because that’s where he started his track and field career.
