Member of Parliament for North West Manchester, Mikael Phillips, has confirmed that he’s the subject of an Integrity Commission, report that was sent to Parliament.
However, in a media release on Friday, MP Phillips says the report has not yet been tabled.
Phillips says in the interest of openness, he wishes to state that his 2022 statutory declaration was late due to a delay in getting all the relevant documents.
He says shortly after the deadline, the documents were submitted.
MP Phillips says he has since fully complied with all the requirements.
He further noted that while the statutory declaration was delayed, it is not connected with illicit enrichment.
The member of parliament also says all his statutory declarations have been certified.
He adds that the late-filing penalty of $250,000 has been paid.
