An athletics Coaching Seminar with head coach of Racers track Club Glenn Mills as the main speaker was conducted in Nanterre, France, as one of the first activities to be undertaken under the City Twinning agreement signed in the margins of the Paris Olympics.
The official twinning of Nanterre, France, with Jamaica’s historic Spanish Town is a move that promises to strengthen cultural ties and unlock new tourism opportunities between the two cities.
The twinning of both “cities” was the culmination of years of discussions between Minister of Sports Olivia Grange and the municipal authorities in Nanterre, France.
Mills says the Seminar was well received.
He dismissed suggestions that the sharing of knowledge will allow other countries to move ahead of Jamaica in the track and field arena.
