Defending champions Mona and last year’s beaten finalists, Hillel Academy both opened their campaign with convincing wins in the Canopy Insurance/JISA Under-12 Alberga Cup football competition, on the weekend.
Fifteen other matches were played across five zones.
Mona, who played in zone-4, beat St. Hugh’s Preparatory 11-0 at the National Water Commission field.

Meanwhile, Zone-2 favourites, Hillel whipped American International School of Kingston 7-2.

Other winners include, Lannaman’s Prep , Ardenne Prep , Emmanuel Christian Academy , and St. Peter and Paul.
The tournament continues Monday with 18-matches.
