Member of Parliament for South West St. Andrew, Dr. Angela Brown Burke, says she’s ready to take to the streets in protest alongside her constituents in Greenwich Town, who are angry at the continued presence of roadblocks set up by the police throughout the community.
She notes that the barriers were erected by the police as a means of reducing the prevalence of drive-by shootings in the community.
Dr. Brown Burke says representation has been made at the level of national security minister, Dr. Horace Chang, for the barriers to be removed.
She says that effort has failed to bear fruit.
