Member of Parliament for South Manchester, the JLP’s Robert Chin, says he intends to visit the Office of the Integrity Commission today to resolve a matter that resulted in him being summoned by the Commission.
The IC summoned the MP in a public notice published in the Sunday Gleaner and Observer.
The notice, which was circulated widely on social media, indicated that Mr. Chin must visit the Commission’s office by Wednesday, March 27.
In a statement Sunday afternoon, Mr. Chin, says he has been in touch with the Integrity Commission over the last few months in relation to requested financial statements for companies of which he’s a director.
He says the requested statements have not yet been completed by the companies’ accountants and, as a result, are still outstanding.
The South Manchester MP apologised to the Commission for not providing an update sooner.
