A New Grant man has been charged with the 2020 murders of four men, including three foreign nationals, following years of extensive investigations.
In a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Clint Charles, 43, of Monkey Town, New Grant, appeared virtually before Master Kamitria Gray of the South Criminal Court B on February 25, 2025.
He was not called upon to plead and was remanded in custody. Charles is scheduled to reappear on April 29, 2025, alongside his co-accused.
The TTPS stated that the charges stem from the discovery of the bodies of Guimar Jose Rausseo Marcano, Danil Mitchell, Jose Serano, and Aaron George in a bushy area off Daily Road, New Grant, Tableland, on May 25, 2020.
Following a coordinated cross-regional law enforcement effort, Charles was arrested in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The TTPS confirmed that he was formally charged on February 24, 2025, by ASP Persad of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region III, after the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Sabrina Dougdeen-Jaglal, advised that he be charged.
The investigation was led by ASP Persad and supervised by Senior Superintendent Dhilpaul and Superintendent Persad, according to the TTPS statement.
