Jamaica’s national record holder Ackera Nugent says her victory in the 100-metres hurdles at the Silesia Diamond League meeting was a confidence booster after failing to complete her race in the final at the Paris Olympics.
Nugent stunned the field by breaking the meet record twice in only her second Diamond League competition, on Sunday.
she set a new meet record of 12.29 seconds, surpassing her previous record of 12.30 seconds set in the preliminaries.
Nugent says she plans to improve with each race.

Nugent will compete next at the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea Diamond League in Rome on August 30.
