Paulwell Wants Clarification on Political Ombudsman

Member of Parliament for East Kingston and Port Royal, Phillip Paulwell, says he’s concerned about the absence of a stand-alone political ombudsman.

On Wednesday, justice minister, Delroy Chuck, revealed that an individual was appointed by the Electoral Commission of Jamaica, ECJ, to carry out the functions of the political ombudsman. However, no details on the appointment have come from the ECJ.

Paulwell wants clarity.
