Councillor for the Old Harbour South Division, the People’s National Party’s Dr. Kurt Waul, is adding his voice to calls for police to wear body cameras when on operations in volatile areas.

This after two men were shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with the police on Terminal Road, Old Harbour Bay in St Catherine on Saturday.

The police say two guns were seized at the scene of the incident, noting that two other men managed to escape during the confrontation.

Councillor Waul, who conceded the men were removing scrap metal from private property, says based on his information, there was no confrontation.
