PNP general secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell has criticised finance minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, for his management of the country’s revenue programme.
This follows last week’s revelation by the finance minister that the country missed key revenue targets for the last financial year.
Government revenues for 2023-24 were 97.5 billion dollars or 11.8 per cent more than the previous fiscal year.
But they fell $22 billion short of the budgeted target.
Speaking to party supporters at a divisional conference in Bellefield, Manchester on Sunday, Dr. Campbell says Minister Clarke’s explanation doesn’t make sense.
Dr. Campbell says the issue shows why the PNP is the party better suited to run the country.
