Deputy general secretary of the People’s National Party, PNP, Nekeisha Burchell, says the party’s caretaker for South West St. Ann, Danishka Williams, is equipped to provide better representation than has been given to the people by member of parliament, Zavia Mayne.
Burchell says the people of South West St. Ann deserve someone of the calibre of Danishka Williams.
The 31-year-old Williams is a marketer and communications specialist by profession.
She’s a former deputy general secretary and vice-president of the PNP Youth Organisation. She’s the daughter of prominent PNP activist, Danhai Williams.
Burchell says Williams is ideally suited to helping people resolve longstanding issues plaguing the constituency.
And Burchell says the appointment of Williams as the PNP’s candidate-in-waiting in South West St. Ann, shows that the party is committed to giving women the opportunity to lead.
