The People’s National Party’s, PNP, candidate presentation of Joan Gordon-Webley in West Rural St Andrew took an interesting turn on Sunday night.
This, after the chairman of Region Three, Dennis Gordon, revealed that all is not well in some of the constituencies in the region.
Region Three of the PNP comprises all the constituencies in Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Thomas.
Gordon interrupted the presentation with a message to comrades who he says are undermining the party leader, Mark Golding.
Gordon also noted that all is not well in some of the PNP strongholds.
There was an intervention from PNP general secretary, Dr Dayton Campbell, who was also sitting on the stage. It’s not clear what Dr Campbell said. But Gordon insisted he had to get his opinion off his chest.

PNP sources tell Nationwide News that there’s lingering resistance and resentment against Joan Gordon-Webley’s candidacy. The resistance is largely due to Gordon-Webley’s long history as a leading member of the Jamaica Labour Party.
