PNP Urges Gov’t to Assist Hurricane Hit Cuba

Opposition Spokesperson on Foreign and Regional Affairs, Dr. Angela Brown Burke, is urging the government to assist Cuba.

This follows the devastation caused by Hurricane Oscar and the collapse of the island’s electrical grid.

Oscar made landfall as a category one hurricane near the city of Baracoa in eastern Cuba on Sunday.

The hurricane made landfall during an island-wide power cut.

Highlighting Cuba’s longstanding support to Jamaica, Dr. Brown Burke notes the significant contributions the country has made over the past four decades, particularly in healthcare.
