The People’s National Party’s Youth Organisation’s, PNPYO, representative in South East St Mary, Rojaine Murray, is calling on councillor for the Annotto Bay division, Hugh Bryan, to address critical issues plaguing the Motherford Bridge area.

According to Murray, the problems include inadequate drainage, uncollected garbage and significant water leakage.

In a letter addressed to the St Mary Municipal Corporation, Murray highlighted the aftermath of recent rainfall, which resulted in severe flooding.

Murray says residents are forced to wade through filthy water to reach homes, churches, and shops.

He says the flooding, attributed to neglected drainage systems filled with stagnant water and debris, has created a breeding ground for pests.

Rojaine Murray, PNPYO’s South East St Mary constituency representative.
