Jamaica has been drawn against defending champions the United States in the two legged quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League.
The first leg will be played in Kingston on Thursday, November 14, with the return second leg on Monday November 18 at CityPark in St. Louis.
The matchup was confirmed after Concacaf released its October rankings on Wednesday, one day after the region’s teams finished the October FIFA window with Nations League group-stage action.
The Jamaicans topped group B in League A with eight points after playing out a goal-less draw with Honduras on Monday at the National Stadium.
The USMNT lost 2-0 to Mexico on Tuesday night, ensuring it would finish third in Concacaf’s rankings and face the second-best group winner in League A group play.
The Americans barely overcame Jamaica at the semi-final stage in last year’s Nations League. Jamaica was seconds away from an upset victory when a late own goal sent the match to extra time.
The four quarter-final winers will advance to the semi-finals on March 20 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, followed by the third-place match and the final on March 23.
The rest of the quarter-final line-up will see Panama facing Costa Rica, Canada against Suriname and Mexico against Honduras.
