Roosevelt Skerrit unanimously re-elected leader of Dominica Labor Party

Roosevelt Skerrit has been unanimously re-elected as the leader of the Dominica Labor Party (DLP) during the party’s recent Delegates Conference in Vieille Case, held on Sunday. Skerrit, who has led the party for several years, was re-elected without opposition, securing his leadership for another term.

Dr. Irving McIntyre, the Minister of Health, was also re-elected unopposed as the DLP’s Deputy Leader, further solidifying his prominent role within the party’s leadership. In addition to Skerrit and McIntyre, several other key leadership positions were filled, ensuring a strong and unified leadership structure as the party moves forward.

Ambassador Emmanuel Nanthan has been appointed the new President of the Dominica Labor Party (DLP), while Ian Pinard was selected as Vice President. The party also announced its new executive team, with Cassani Laville taking on the role of General Secretary and Cozier Fredrick named Assistant General Secretary. Lady Catherine Daniel has been appointed Treasurer, and Clarence Christian will serve as Assistant Treasurer. These appointments complete the leadership structure, further strengthening the DLP’s team as it moves forward.

  • Amour Thomas as Trade Union Coordinator.

Skerrit has been the leader of the DLP for the past twenty years following the untimely death of then Prime Minister and DLP party leader Pierre Charles.
