Scorpions Score 375 in First Inning Against West Indies Academy

Jamaica Scorpions were bowled out for 375 having resumed on 332 for 7 in West Indies regional four-day championships against the West Indies Academy at Coolidge Cricket Ground.

Brad Barnes who was on 44 overnight went on to make exactly 50 while Jeavor Royal made 30.

The Scorpions total was built mainly on a second century of the season from captain John Campbell who made 101, Javelle Glenn, 68, Odean Smith, 51, and Jermaine Blackwood, 31.

Jediah Blades ended with 4 for 64 and Ackeem Auguste 2 for 45.

In reply, the West Indies Academy reached 61 for 2 at sports time. Marquino Mindley and Ojay Shields picked up the wickets.

Over at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes will resume on 367 for 5 against the Combined Campuses and Colleges.

Jewel Andrew made 122, while Justin Greaves is unbeaten on 104. Chemar Holder has so far taken two wickets.

Windward Islands Volcanoes in their rain affected match will resume on 77 for 2 against the Guyana Harpy Eagles at Providence Stadium.

Jeremy Solozano, 43, and captain Alick Athanaze, 9, are the not out batsmen.

And Trinidad and Tobago will resume on 181 for 4 in their match against Barbados Pride at Kensington Oval.

Kamil Pooran made 60 and Amir Jangoo is unbeaten on 37.

On Wednesday, Barbados were bowled out for 86. Kemar Roach top scored with 21.

Anderson Phillip took 4 for 36, Joshua James picked up three wickets and Jayden Seales took two wickets.
