Young Dancehall artistes Skeng and Jahshii appear to have mended their friendship, with both deejays reuniting on stage.
In 2022, it was rumoured that the artistes were at odds, and a live stream during which Skeng’s producer John Coop dissed Jahshii further fueled those rumours. Jahshii went on to confirm that he and Skeng had fallen out during an interview on the Let’s Be Honest podcast last year.
Following that revelation, the deejays appear to have put their differences aside and reunited while at the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival in Ocho Rios. After performing several of his hits, including Gvnman Shift, and closing out his performance with his single Shalalala, Skeng began to make his exit off the stage.
However, the artiste would shortly after return, embracing Jahshii, who would go on to tell the audience that it was the first time in a long while that they are witnessing this.
The entertainers later exited at different sides of the stage but are seemingly now on good terms.
Some fans of the artiste expressed delight that they had reunited on stage.
“Unity is strength. I love what I just watch. One Jashi, one Skeng,” one viewer stated.
While other viewers were of the opinion that their friendship would not last and accused Jahshii of being disingenuous.
“Only if it was genuine jahjah jashii a try hard but jah know youth wa gone bad a morning caa come good a evening mi g the best thing from this is that you guys dont really hate each other in person,” one viewer wrote.
