Gaming leader Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) is making bold strides into the entertainment industry, leveraging business-savvy leadership, access to capital, and strategic partnerships, to revolutionise Jamaica’s live event landscape.
This expansion will diversify revenue streams, create new investment opportunities, and fuel economic growth across Jamaica’s entertainment, tourism, and event production sectors. By integrating concerts, festivals, and premium entertainment experiences, SVL aims to maximise revenue potential and elevate Jamaica’s entertainment infrastructure to global standards.
“Entertainment is in our DNA. Supreme Ventures has always been about entertainment – whether it’s gaming, racing, or events,” said Gary Peart, executive chairman of Supreme Ventures. “Now, we’re taking it a step further by creating a sustainable, revenue-generating entertainment hub right here in Jamaica.”
At the heart of this vision is Caymanas Park, operated by Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Limited (SVREL). Long known as Jamaica’s premier horse racing venue, SVL is now transforming Caymanas Park into a multi-purpose entertainment destination that will host large-scale concerts, festivals, and year-round events.
CONCERTS FOR 2025
The company’s collaboration with Main Event Entertainment Group ensures that all events at Caymanas Park are executed with world-class precision.
Moreover, SVL’s strong international relationships position the company to attract high-calibre global artistes to Jamaica. Following the success of Boyz II Men, the company is now planning two major concerts for 2025, further solidifying its role in elevating Jamaica’s global entertainment appeal.
SVL already has business operations in Guyana, Ghana, and other international markets, and the company is exploring global partnerships to replicate its entertainment model worldwide.
“When you look at Africa, major events attract 100,000 plus attendees – even in markets with lower income levels than Jamaica. That shows the potential for large-scale entertainment when done right,” Peart explained. “We’re creating a pilot here in Jamaica but the goal is to expand our entertainment brand globally.”
He pointed out that one of the biggest barriers to success in Jamaica’s entertainment sector is trust – between promoters, vendors, and sponsors.
“There’s too much inconsistent pricing and risk-shifting onto promoters,” Peart pointed out. “If an event does well, everyone wants a cut. If it flops, the promoter bears all the loss. We need variable pricing models that account for actual turnout and revenue ... but that requires trust and collaboration.”
Peart emphasised the need for greater unity between the entertainment industry’s key stakeholders – government, promoters, and service providers. “You need two hands to clap,” Peart said. “If all the key players in the entertainment industry work together, Jamaica’s entertainment sector can reach new heights.”
As the company rolls out its entertainment initiatives over the coming years, SVL is committed to delivering unforgettable experiences for patrons, sustainable growth for promoters, and significant economic benefits for Jamaica.
