National age group swimmer, Matthew Kennedy, says he’s ready to take on the best in the region when he represents Jamaica at the Carifta Championships in Trinidad and Tobago, from April 19-23.
Kennedy will be competing in the 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500 metres freestyle.
He’ll also face the starter in the 200-metres butterfly and the relays as well as in open water swim.
The Wolmer’s standout will be making his third appearance at the championships.
Kennedy says the 200-metres freestyle is his strongest event.
He says they are currently doing squad training.
