Host Trinidad and Tobago are new champions of the West Indies Rising Stars Under 17 cricket competition.
Trinidad clinched the title after their final round game against Barbados at Inshan Ali Park on Monday ended in a no result following another rain interrupted day.
The host were bowled out for 159 in their 50 overs with Christian Lall making 46 and Brendan Boodoo 30 against Zachary Carter 4 for 20.
Barbados reached 28 for 1 in reply when the players were forced off the field because of rain.
Trinidad ended the tournament with three wins in five matches, and two no-result, while Barbados finished with two wins and three no-result in the rain-affected tournament.
Meanwhile Jamaica’s final round game against the Windward Islands was abandoned with a ball bowl because of rain at the Gilbert Park in Trinidad and Tobago.
