Tacky High Expected to Send Errol Bascoe on Leave

Education minister, Fayval Williams, says the Board of Tacky High School is expected to send its embattled principal, Errol Bascoe, on leave.

The Board is expected to take action after Mr. Bascoe was charged with buggery over the weekend.

Mrs. Williams gave the update while speaking on Nationwide This Morning on Monday.

The education minister has moved to assure stakeholders that operations at the school will not be impacted by the principal’s absence.

Errol Bascoe has denied the buggery allegations against him, calling them scurrilous and malicious.

Mr. Bascoe resigned as the PNP standard bearer in Western St. Mary over the weekend. In his resignation letter to PNP president Mark Golding, Mr. Bascoe said he was concerned about clearing his name.

He also cited the potential impact of the allegations on the PNP.
