There were two Jamaican winners at the World Athletics Challenge Tour meet in Finland on Wednesday.
Shawn-D Thompson produced a lifetime best to win the Long Jump with 8.15 meters.
Thompson, who was fourth at the National Championship, fouled on his first two jumps before logging the winning jump, beating his previous best of 8.13 meters.
Demar Murray won the 400 metres in 50.53 seconds. Justin Rose of Canada was second in 50.79 seconds and third went to Austria’s Leo Kohldorfer in 50.81 seconds.
Former National Champion Oshane Bailey was second in the 100 metres in 10.39 seconds. Earl Simmonds of St. Vincent and the Grenadines won in 10.15 seconds.
