Securing spots on the latest iteration of the top five trending list are Dancehall artistes Chronic Law, RajaWild, Najeeriii, Nigy Boy, and Skippa.
This list is based on the top five trending songs on YouTube for Jamaica at the moment.
Chronic Law makes his first appearance on this top five list with his single Scars From War Pt. 2, which takes the #5 spot. Scars From War Pt. 1 was released in 2022 and, like its successor, was produced by Droptop Records and Bronco.don under the New Wavez Entertainment label.
Also like Scars From War Pt. 1, Pt. 2 focuses on friendships lost with the latest track centered on fake friends. Released on March 17, Pt2 has acquired over 628,000 views and 19,000 likes.
Skippa claims the #4 spot on trending with his song Most Wanted. Most Wanted was produced by BobDemRecors and Prod.Carterr and seemingly takes shots at Rvssian’s recently released Payment Plan Riddim in the lines, “Mi tell yuh f*ck di old beat and f*ck di new one too.”
The single was released on March 15 and has since acquired over 656,000 views and 21,000 likes.
Chronic Law makes his second appearance on this top-five list at #3 with his song Don’t Fall. Chronic Law delivers a staunch warning to any prospective love interest in this Droptop Records and Romillion Entertainment produced track, which is featured on the On the Throat Pro riddim.
Released on March 27, Don’t Fall has acquired more than 325,000 views and 19,000 likes.
Taking the #2 spot on trending are Dancehall artistes RajahWild and Najeeriii with their single, Life a Di Party. Produced by Zimi Records and Now Or Never, the party track was released on March 22 and is the latest collaborative single from RajahWild and Najeeriii.
Following its release, Life a Di Party has so far acquired over 732,000 views and 37,000 likes.
Seemingly on his way to becoming 2024’s breakthrough Dancehall artiste, Nigey Boy secures #1 on this list with his track Judgement. Released via Head Concussion Records, Judgement has become another viral hit for Nigy Boy, with the artiste inspiring the latest massive Jamaican TikTok challenge.
Released on March 11, Judgement has amassed over 2.4 million views and 75,000 likes.
