Jamaica will begin the final journey for a place at the FIFA under 20 World Cup in Chile next year, when they face the United States at the Estadio Miguel Aleman Valdes in Mexico starting at 9 pm.
The game will follow the other group A encounter between Costa Rica and Cuba.
The Jamaicans arrived in Mexico in two batches over the last 48 hours and will be looking for a win to start the campaign which will see four teams making it to the World Cup.
After single round-robin play, the top two finishers and the two best third places will qualify for the knockout stage.
The knockout stage will include eight teams.
The quarterfinals will be played on July 30 and 31, the semifinals on August 2 and the final on Sunday, August 4.
The four semi-finalists will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
