Jamaica’s Kerrica Hill remains on course to defend her 100-metres hurdles title at the World Under-20 Championships in Lima, Peru.
Hill advanced to this afternoon’s semi-finals with the fastest time after winning heat-1 in 13.18 seconds Thursday morning on day three of the championships.
The other Jamaican in the event Habiba Harris was second in heat-7 in 13.74 seconds and is also through.
Meanwhile, Richard Hall and Daniel Beckford also booked their tickets to the semi-finals of the 110-metres hurdles semi-finals.
Hall qualified after winning heat-3 in 13.58 seconds, while Beckford advanced as one of the none automatic qualifiers after finishing fourth in the heat-1 in 13.74 seconds.
Shanoya Douglas and Sabrina Dockery secured easy passages to the semi-finals of the women’s 200-metres semi-finals.
Dockery’s 23.80 seconds was good enough for second in heat-1, while Douglas finished first in heat-2 in 23.51 seconds.
