Warmington Criticises Morgan’s ‘Slow Work’ in SW St. Catherine

Former works minister, Everald Warmington, took his successor to task over the slow implementation of key projects in his constituency during last week’s sitting of Parliament’s Standing Finance Committee.

The member of parliament, MP, for South West St. Catherine demanded answers from Robert Morgan about the length of time it’s taking to resolve issues bedevilling his constituency for well over a year.

Among them are squatting and vandalism, which have plagued the Bourkesfield Meadows community in Old Harbour Bay.

The Bourkesfield Meadows issue was among several raised by Warmington during the meeting last week.

Warmington was relieved of the works portfolio in February, 2024.

Minister Morgan sought to assure the MP that the issue would be dealt with shortly. Warmington was not comforted by those words.
