Tennis analyst, Cassius Watson, welcome Wimbledon into the technology era after they ditched line judges in favour of technology which calls whether a ball has landed out within a tenth of a second.
Line judges have been part of the furniture at the All England Club through the tournament’s 147-year history.
However, Watson says the venue’s decision to install ‘’–automated electronic line calling, ELC, on all 18 match courts, is just the natural evolution of the sport.
He says the technology will make decision making at the venue more precise.
