WI Championship: Scorpions Sent in to Bat Against Red Force

The Jamaica Scorpions reached 43 for 2 against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force on day-one of the regional four-day competition at the Brian Lara Stadium.

Jermaine Beckford leads all scorers with 22. Kirk McKenzie has scored 11 and John Campbell chipped in with 2.

The game is a pink ball affair.

Over at the Darren Sammy stadium, Windward Islands reached 108 for 7 against Barbados Pride.

Sunil Ambris, 50, and Kenneth Dember, 7, are the not out batsmen. Ramon Simmonds has so far taken two wickets.

Champions Guyana Harpy Eagles reached 132 for 6 against Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park.

Kevlon Anderson, 44, and Ronaldo Alimohamed, 6, are the not out batsmen.

Rahkeem Cornwall and Oshane Thomas have so far taken two wickets each.

And the Combined Campuses and Colleges reached 111 for 2 against West Indies Academy at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial stadium.

Captain Johann Jeremiah is unbeaten on 48, with Shaqkere Parris not out on 22.
