Only one of Jamaica’s sprint relay team advanced to Friday’s finals at the Paris Olympics.
The women booked their place in the final after finishing third in heat-2 of the 4-by-100-metres relay in a season’s best 42.35 seconds.
Great Britain won in 42.03 second, while France finished second in 42.13 seconds.
However, Jamaica’s men failed to advance due largely to poor baton changes which resulted in them finishing fourth in heat-2 in 38.45 seconds.
Navasky Anderson failed in his second bid to advance to the semi-finals of the men’s 800-metres.
He posted 1:46.01 in finishing fifth in heat-2 of the repechage.
