Following the recent release of his critically acclaimed album Colors Of Royal, two-time Grammy-nominated artist Julian “JuJu” Marley dropped an animated video today for “Roll (Rodando Mr. Sonic Remix),” which features additional Spanish vocals from Argentinian reggae star Bahiano over a reggaeton-flavored beat provided by Monom Records chief Alexx Antaeus and Venezuelan co-producer, Mr. Sonic. Bahiano’s lyrics compliment Marley’s message of persistance and faith:

Del cielo baja bendicion

Con tanta inspiracion

Agradeciendo siempre al creador

which translates to:

From heaven come down a blessing

With so much inspiration

Always thanking the creator

The animated video premiered on the Monom Records YouTube channel today. Directed by Justin Braham and Maria Somoza, and produced by Roger Carrasco for Level Music Group 305, the new visuals depict Julian and Bahiano rolling through treacherous terrain with Jah serving as their guide.

Julian Marley expressed his enthusiasm on the remix, “I love the reggaeton vibes of the ‘Roll’ remix. We’re spreading the music and the mission and the message across to all walks of life. MR. SONIC

Co-producer Mr. Sonic said “I grew up listening to Bahiano and Julian’s music, as well as his father. This is a historic recording, as it’s the first time that an Argentine has recorded with a member of the Marley family, and for me as a Venezuelan and as Antaeus from Greece being able to put this together, we know it will have a global impact.”

Co-producer Alexx Antaeus added, “I’ve been wanting to work with multiple Grammy-winning producer Mr. Sonic for a while. When he suggested Argentine reggae star Bahiano, it was a no brainer. I just love this remix.”

Julian connected with Bahiano in Miami this weekend to film the official video for “Roll (Rodondo Mr. Sonic Remix)” at the legendary Circle House Studio. Juju joins Bahiano onstage Saturday night, April 15 at La Scala De Miami for the live world premiere performance of the remix. Tickets available here.

“It has been an amazing experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity collaborating with Julian and Mr. Sonic to create this incredible track,” said Bahiano about the collabo. “And the fact that Julian allowed me write and sing my part in Spanish makes it even more special.”
