Twenty Jamaicans will be seeking Diamond League glory when they compete in the 2-day final in Brussels, on September 13 and 14.
The trio of Tajay gayle, Carey McLeod and Wayne Pinnock will compete in the men’s long jump.
Danniel Thomas-Dodd will contest the women’s shot put, while Rajindra Campbell will contest the men’s event.
The duo of Ackeem Blake and Rohan Watson will run in the men’s 100-metres.
Fedrick Dacres is the lone jamaican in the men’s discus.
Triple jump women will feature Shanieka Ricketts and Ackelia Smith.
Natoya Goule-Toppin runs in the women’s 800-metres.
Roshawn Clarke and Malik James-King will line-up in the men’s 400-metres hurdles, while Andrenette Knight, Janieve
Russell and Shiann Salmon will run in the women’s race.
Romaine Beckford will contest the men’s high jump.
And Ackere Nugent and Danielle Williams run in the women’s 100-metres hurdles.
Meanwhile newly minted Olympic champion Grant Holloway has taken to social media to announce that he will not be participating in Brussels.
Holloway says he and his team have been unable to reach agreements with the meet directors, adding that it is a shame that they doing athletes like that.
Holloway was the odds on favourite to be crowned Diamond League season after dominating 2024 which saw his adding Olympic 110m hurdles gold to the 60m title he won at the world indoors in Glasgow in March.
