The MSME Alliance has announced the appointment of Antoinette Hamilton as its new president, effective October 30 this year.
In a statement to the media, the Alliance noted that under the exemplary leadership of former President, Donovan Wignal, the group achieved remarkable milestones in advocating for the growth and development of the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise sector.
The group says Wignall’s tenure was distinguished by efforts to provide greater support and representation for MSMEs across Jamaica, ensuring their voices were heard on national platforms and influencing policy decisions that directly impacted the sector.
It says with Ms. Hamilton at the helm, the Alliance reaffirms its commitment to supporting the nation’s MSMEs, which are vital to Jamaica’s economic growth and development.
The alliance says it will continue to champion the interests of MSMEs with a renewed focus on digitization and capacity building.
