Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, says a future PNP government will waive corporate income tax for Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, for their first three years of operation.
This was one of a raft of measures Mr. Robinson promised would be used to boost the economic potential of the country.
Mr. Robinson was making his contribution to the Budget Debates in the House of Representatives on Thursday.
The Opposition Spokesman says MSME’s form the backbone of society and must be supported.
He also pledged to reform the Development Bank of Jamaica to allow easier access to loans for MSMEs.
