There’s uncertainty on Friday as it regards the status of 18-year-old Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri with Jamaica’s national senior football team.
Cadamarteri was named in Jamaica’s national senior team for the Concacaf Nations League semi-final against the United states next Thursday in Dallas Texas on Thursday.
However, Cadamarteri has also received a call up by England for two Under-19 games in North Africa against Morocco and the United States. The game against Morocco is on the same day as the Nations League game against America.
The situation seems to have caught the JFF by surprise. If Cadamarteri does opt to travel with England, he could still pledge allegiance to Jamaica later down the line, since he will not receive an international cap.
In announcing his Concacaf Nations League squad yesterday, this is what coach Heimir Hallgrimmson said about the player.

Cadamarteri is one of seven strikers named in the squad of which only five will be available for the US game due to suspensions of Shamar Nicholson and Demarai Gray.
