Glenmuir High School scored two wins against Old Harbour High School in Zone F of the ISSA rural schoolgirls netball competition on Thursday.

The Glenmuir junior team picked up their second win of the season after defeating their opponents 23-9. The seniors then romped to a decisive 67-7 win in the feature game.

Glenmuir coach Ryan Reid was impressed with the execution by his seniors.

“Despite waiting so long for their opening game of the season I liked the execution as I saw what I wanted and it will definitely get better,” Reid said.

Coach Reid also hailed his junior team.

“They also played well although they were a bit nervous as it is a very young team. Most of them played in the under-14 competition last year,” Reid, who is looking forward to a top-of-the-table clash with neighbouring Denbigh High in two weeks, said.

Maggotty High and Dinthill Technical seniors also scored good wins. Playing in Zone C, Maggotty got by St Elizabeth Technical 26-20, while in Zone H Dinthill had a big 37-2 win over Marymount High.
