Bishop Backs Narine to Start for WI in T20 World if Available

Former West Indies fast bowler, Ian Bishop, believes Sunil Narine would easily make the starting eleven of the Caribbean team for the ICC T20 World Cup once he makes himself available.

The World Cup is set for the Caribbean and USA from June 1-27.

Narine’s absence from the West Indies setup has been notable since 2019. Bishop does not believe Narine’s return would disrupt the team chemistry.

Narine officially retires from international last year.

However, after 109 from 56-balls for Kolkota Knight Riders against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL tie on April 16, Bishop believes he would be an asset to the regional side with both bat and ball.
