The Bank of Jamaica says it will suspend its teller services to the public until further notice due to the passage of Tropical Storm Rafael.
In a statement on Monday the BOJ says the decision was based on the tropical storm warning in effect for Jamaica and other information provided by the Meteorological Service.
The BOJ says it will activate its Essential Services Protocol to continue providing core central bank services to banks and the financial market.
It says the public will be updated regarding further developments or changes to its operating schedule.
