Three times Olympic 100m champion Usain Bolt says the blue riband event in Paris remains wide open and is there for the taking.

Bolt who won the event in Beijing, London and Rio becoming the first man to achieve the feat, told Nationwide Sports that he is yet to see anyone step forward to make a strong claim to being the favourite.

However he says it’s still early days.

Bolt is the last Jamaican man to stand on the medal podium in the 100m and multiple world record holder is hoping that one of the country’s rising stars will replicate that.

During the Bolt era Jamaica dominated the sprints and he believes the country still has what it takes to achieve double digit medal intakes.

Bolt was today unveiled by Red Stripe as their newest Brand Ambassador in a multi-year deal and the sprint star says he is happy to be partnering with the company.
