Captain John Campbell crafted a beautiful century today for the Jamaica Scorpions on the opening day of their second round West Indies Championship encounter against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Campbell slammed 126 as the Scorpions sent to bat reached 306/9 at close with Brad Barnes not out 53.
Campbell cracked 11 fours and 3 sixes in his 150 ball knock.
Kirk McKenzie made 33, Carlos Brown 22, Jermaine Blackwood 10 against Rahkeem Cornwall 3 for 71, Jeremiah Louis 3 for 35 and Hayden Walsh Junior two wickets.
At Providence Combined Campuses and Colleges closed on 279 for 6 after they were asked to bat by champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles.
