Right arm medium pacer Jaden Edmund dominated the opening day of the seventh round regional four day encounter between the Jamaica Scorpions and the Combined Campuses and College team at the Sir Frank Worrell Ground in Trinidad.
Edmund claimed the first five Scorpions wickets as they were dismissed for 133 in 37 overs.
Edmund ended with 5 for 59 and he was supported by Larry Edward 3 for 6….Kirk McKenzie 31 top scored for the Scorpions with Brad Barnes making 23.
At close the CCC were 174 for 4 an overall lead of 41 runs with Shaqkere Parris not out on 70 while captain Johann Jeremiah made 69 against Brad Barnes 2 for 38.
At the Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force closed on 214 for 7 against champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles.
Jyd Goolie is not out 57 while Cephas Cooper weighed in with 50 against Keemo Paul 3 for 38 and Nial Smith 2 for 34.
Over at Coolidge the Windward Islands Volcanoes were bowled out for 106 by the West Indies Academy who were 197 for 5 at close with Teddy Bishop unbeaten on 54.
At Warner Park the Leeward Islands Hurricanes reached 165 for 4 in the late game against the Barbados Pride.
