#CHAMPS2024 | JC’s Nooks safely into Class Three boys’ 1,500m final

Jamaica College’s (JC) Cavel Nooks qualified as the quickest to the Class Three boys' 1,500 metres final at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium this morning.

Nooks crossed the line in 4:27.10 minutes to finish ahead of Clarendon College’s Timario Gayle, who clocked 4:29.05 and St. Jago’s Cory Christie in 4:30.14.

The top three spots in semi-final two were St. Jago’s Phillip Palmer in 4:35.44 minutes, JC’s Bevin Davey in 4:35.86 and Denbigh’s Nathaniel Thomas in 4:36.17.

Also making the final are Kingston College’s Andrew Tanui, Calabar’s Obrian Clarke, Manchester’s Kevon Palmer, Excelsior’s Keneil Daniels, Wolmer’s Boys’ Alfario Cunnigham and William Knibbs’ Anthony Murray.
