Wolmer’s Girls’ Akeelah Bell qualified for the semi-finals of the Class Three girls’ 80 metres hurdles with the fastest time today at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
Bell clocked 11.33 seconds to win heat one, with Edwin Allen’s Arihanna Brown winning heat four in 11.43 to qualify as the second-fastest qualifier.
Adora Campbell representing St. Jago won heat three in 11.43 seconds, while Rajana Price of Convent of Mercy Alpha crossed the tape in 11.53 to win heat two to complete the preliminary winners and the top four qualifiers through to the next round.
